Day 1 - Sydney to Central Coast

Before leaving Sydney, catch a ferry to Manly, stroll along the promenade and drink in the breathtaking beauty of one of Sydney’s renowned northern beaches.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch of fish and chips before returning to Circular Quay and heading north to the Central Coast.

 
Day 2 - Central Coast to Port Stephens

Discover many villages by driving the coastal route from Gosford to Newcastle. Stop to enjoy outdoor cafes, pelican feeding, fishing, swimming, boating or spectacular beachside walks.

North of Newcastle, explore the giant sand dunes of Stockton Beach. At Port Stephens, join a dolphin cruise or take a leisurely walk around the headlands.

 
Day 3 - Port Stephens to Port Macquarie

Drive the scenic route to Forster and discover the Myall, Smiths and Wallis Lakes by cruise boat, canoe or hired dinghy. Take a seaplane flight, fish, swim, have fun on a paddle boat or just relax and enjoy the famous rock oysters.

Continue to Taree and Harrington for a delightful walk along the breakwall at the entrance to the Manning River. Take the scenic route to Port Macquarie and watch the sun set from North Brother Mountain.

 
Day 4 - Port Macquarie to Nambucca Heads

After a cruise along the Hastings River, head for the tranquillity of Crescent Head or Scotts Head for fishing, swimming and a relaxing picnic. South West Rocks is worth a visit and you can marvel at the Macleay River flats along the way.

Drive on to Nambucca Heads and paint your own personal post card on the rocks along the Vee Wall.

 
Day 5 - Nambucca Heads to Byron Bay

On the way to Byron Bay, stop at Coffs Harbour Marina and stroll along the promenade where yachts and the fishing fleet are moored.

Drive the leisurely coastal route from Ballina via Lennox Head to Byron Bay and stand at Australia’s most easterly point, Cape Byron. Breathe in the fresh sea air and spot Humpback whales during their yearly migration.

 
Day 6 - Byron Bay to Gold Coast

With the river and beaches right at your doorstep, Brunswick Heads is an ideal stop for fishing, swimming, boating and photography.

Along the coastal route, stop at the beachside town of Kingscliff and dine al fresco or enjoy a picnic. Unwind on a boat on the peaceful Tweed River before moving on to bustling Coolangatta.

 
Day 7 - Gold Coast to Brisbane

Fly in a Tiger Moth or a seaplane for a bird’s-eye view of the magnificent Gold Coast. Be tempted into a winter swim by the perfect climate; windsurf, jet ski or play in the sand.

Drive on to Brisbane via the scenic route and enjoy a ferry ride to North or South Stradbroke Island. After dinner, stroll along the banks of the meandering Brisbane River.

 
Day 8 - Brisbane to Sunshine Coast

Sail on Moreton Bay, tour the nearby islands or catch the CityCat along the Brisbane River for a leisurely start to your day. After leaving Brisbane, turn off the highway and travel the Sunshine Coast without leaving the water’s edge. As you watch the sun set, dine on local seafood at a beachside restaurant or stretch out on the sand with delicious fish and chips.

 
Day 9 - Sunshine Coast to Fraser Coast

Spend the morning indulging in the cafe life or take a tour to World Heritage Listed Fraser Island for a day of snorkelling, sailboarding, diving and fishing. Keep an eye out for the majestic Humpback whales who use Hervey Bay as their playground.

Finish your relaxing day by the pool or the beach and let the sounds of the ocean rock you to sleep.
