The Sapphire Coast lies approximately 390km South of Sydney. It is bounded by Wallaga Lake and Cobargo in the north, Victoria in the south and the South East Forests National Park in the west. The sheet features a regional map which covers from the Victorian border to Central Tilba in the north and covers the route to the Snowy region in the West via Nimmitabel and Bombala. Eight town maps are included featuring Merimbula, Eden, Bermagui, Bega, Tathra, Pambula, Pambula Beach, and Tura Beach. The map sheet size is 70cm x 50cm and folds neatly to fit into your glove box or handbag.
Important information shown comprises national parks, nature reserves and state forests. Significent natural attractions are located including: numerous coastal lakes, Camel Rock, Michael Lerner lookout, Mumbulla Falls, Tuross Falls (4WD), Pipers Lookout, Mimosa Rocks, Kianinny Bay, Tura Head, Nethercote Falls, Six Mile Creek and Cascades, The Pinnacles, Saltwater Creek, Whale watching, Newtons Crossing, Myanba Creek and Gorge, Nalbaugh Falls, Green Cape (wild seals) and numerous forest drives showing camping and rest areas.
Manmade attractions include: Cobargo craft village, Brogo Dam, Bega Cheese Factory and museum, Grevillea Winery, Bilyara Gallery, Killer Whale Museum Eden, Boyds Tower, Boydtown, Green Cape Lighthouse.
The maps show all the detail a traveller could want including all main highways, secondary roads and tracks. Some 4wd tracks are also shown.
Facilities are shown by symbols located adjacent to town names and within town maps. The facilities include: hotels, clubs, picnic areas, bbqs and picnic tables, museums, tennis, bowls, golf, public toilets, availability of petrol and auto gas, swimming, fishing, canoeing and advertising motels, apartments and caravan parks.
Advertisements surrounding the maps give users plenty of information on attractions and accommodation choices and their locations on the map.
